The IEEE Turkey Student Branches and Young Professionals Congress takes place from August 20th – 23rd at IEEE Turkey Student Branches Youtube channel. On the first day of the Congress, IEEE SAC Chair Dr. Elisa Barney Smith, IEEE Turkey Section Chair Prof Dr. H. Fatih Uğurdağ, Vice-Chair Dr. Tunçer Baykaş, Treasurer Simay Akar, Student Activities Coordinator Dr. Murat Tümer and Professional Development and Educational Activities Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Serhan Yarkan have attended the Congress and delivered the opportunities, and expectations of the contemporary vision of IEEE and IEEE Turkey. Also, IEEE Turkey Student Branches Society Chairs of RAS, KÖK, and CS have presented their annual reports, and candidates of the new term have presented their plans.
Sezer Can Tokgöz, a former Tapir Labs. member in EE Department at Istanbul Commerce University (ICU), has been accepted into Ph.D. program with full-scholarship in EE Department at Texas A&M University at College Station, TX. Sezer Can Tokgöz, as being both EE undergraduate and graduate level student at ICU, will be pursuing his Ph.D. studies along with Scott Miller and Khalid Qaraqe who are the two prominent researchers in the field of wireless communications and statistical signal processing. EE Department would like to congratulate him and Tapir Labs. and appreciate the effort he put in on the projects carried out in both EE Department and Tapir Labs. during his time in here!
