Sait Ergüven, who is currently working as a freelancer on planning and engineering of mobile communications and renewable energy applications, will give a talk and share his valuable experiences in the field with Istanbul Commerce University audience on February 19th, 2020, Wednesday, between 11.00am – 12.00pm at B-311, Kucukyali campus, focusing majorly on senior students enrolled GNL450 – Vocational Seminars course.

Ergüven graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in 1978. After graduation, he started his career as a Chief Engineer at Turk Telekom. Between 1982-1994, Ergüven worked in the fields of telecommunication switching and transmission systems as an R&D Manager at NETAŞ. When Turkcell first initiated, he contributed to the construction of GSM network and designing of communication systems as a hands-on manager. Then, Ergüven held several directorial positions during his time on Turkcell. Later on, he worked as a senior director at the department of GSM Network Operation in AVEA. He continued his career as a consultant at TELENER between 2009-2012 in the fields of telecommunication network, IP systems and services, software tools for GSM network and new generation power application for GSM network. Currently, Ergüven is working as a freelancer on planning and engineering as a consultant.

Engineer Ersoy Ceylan will deliver a talk at EE

Ersoy Ceylan, who is a freelance consultant, will give a talk and share his valuable experiences in the field with Istanbul Commerce University audience on November 18th, 2019, Monday, between 10am-12pm at C-304, Kucukyali campus, focusing majorly on freshman students enrolled Introduction to Electrical Engineering course.

Ersoy Ceylan was born in 1966 in Istanbul. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Electronics and Communication Engineering in 1987. In 1990, he completed his Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication at the same university. In 1990 he started his Ph.D. at the same department. While he was in the thesis phase, he dropped out his Ph.D. He worked as a research assistant for 3 semesters at ITU. Between 1991-1997, he worked as a Software/Design Engineer in R&D department of Nortel Netas. Then, he carried on his career as an R&D manager in Nortel Netas for 5 years. Then he started to work in transmission planning department of Turkcell. From 2010 to 2017, Ceylan conducted management mission at the Leased Lines Management Department of AVEA. Also, he gave Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) training at Turkcell Academy. Ceylan is specialized in B-ISDN and ATM technologies, Real-Time Embedded System Design, Digital Power Plant Systems, Register and Line Signaling, ATM and ISDN protocol, SDH and Remote Control Systems.

Kınacı received his B.Sc. and M.Sc degrees in Computer Science from Yıldız Technical University and worked as a System Support Engineer in NETAS between 1990-1996. Upon completing his military service, Kınacı conducted private software projects in the textile industry. Between 2000-2008, Kınacı held several managerial positions at Turkcell. During his time at Turkcell, he led the Project Management Office (PMO) and Analysis Teams in IT and Service & Product Development departments. Later on, he was assigned to the administration of the project office of Vodafone as a PMO Senior Manager. In 2009, he was transferred to recently initiated Customer-Relationship Management (CRM) transformation program of Avea as a CRM Solutions Director to manage the process and completed the CRM Transformation. Then, he established Agile Solutions Directorate and managed this team for two years in Avea. Thereafter, Kınacı established PMO in Avea and managed this team for two years. Currently, İlker Kınacı is working at Kafein as a Strategic Partner, he is responsible for Strategic Key Account Management, Business Development, Outsourcing Strategy and Partnering.

Başar Akpınar was graduated from the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Department of Istanbul Techincal University in 1993. Between 1994-1998, he worked as a Software Testing and Support Engineer for Nortel Netas. Then, Akpınar worked as a Supervisor Engineer at Turkcell for two years. In 2000, Akpınar started to work with Ericsson. In the first year of his career at Ericsson, he worked as Senior Consultant, then he became Core Network Manager of Ericsson. He continued his career as a Senior Consultant of EMS communication between 2004 and 2005. Başar Akpınar has been carrying out Chief Executive Officer duty for P.I. works since 2005.
