R&D Specialist of Arçelik will deliver a talk at EE

Gökhan Özoğur, who is currently R&D Specialist at Arçelik, will give a talk and share his valuable experiences in the field with Istanbul Commerce University audience on April 25th, 2019, Thursday, between 1pm-3pm at C-205, Kucukyali campus, focusing majorly on senior students enrolled Vocational Seminars course.

Gökhan Özoğur was born in 1989. Özoğur received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Koc University in 2012, and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Istanbul University in 2018. Currently, he is pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering at Istanbul University – Cerrahpasa. Between 2012-2016, he worked as an R&D Engineer in Arcelik. He has been working as an R&D Specialist in User Interface and Applications Group at Software Design Department of Arcelik since 2016.

CEO of P.I. Works will deliver a talk at EE

Başar Akpınar, who is one of the Co-Founders and currently the CEO of P.I.Works, will give a talk and share his valuable experiences in the field with Istanbul Commerce University audience on April 18th, 2019, Thursday, between 1pm-3pm at C-205, Kucukyali campus, focusing majorly on senior students enrolled Vocational Seminars course.

Başar Akpınar was graduated from the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Department of Istanbul Techincal University in 1993. Between 1994-1998, he worked as a Software Testing and Support Engineer for Nortel Netas. Then, Akpınar worked as a Supervisor Engineer at Turkcell for two years. In 2000, Akpınar started to work with Ericsson. In the first year of his career at Ericsson, he worked as Senior Consultant, then he became Core Network Manager of Ericsson. He continued his career as a Senior Consultant of EMS communication between 2004 and 2005. Başar Akpınar has been carrying out Chief Executive Officer duty for P.I. works since 2005.

Engineer Ersoy Ceylan will deliver a talk at EE

Ersoy Ceylan, who is a freelance consultant, will give a talk and share his valuable experiences in the field with Istanbul Commerce University audience on April 4th, 2019, Thursday, between 1pm-3pm at C-205, Kucukyali campus, focusing majorly on senior students enrolled Vocational Seminars course.

Ersoy Ceylan was born in 1966 in Istanbul. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Electronics and Communication Engineering in 1987. In 1990, he completed his Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication at the same university. In 1990 he started his Ph.D. at the same department. While he was in the thesis phase, he dropped out his Ph.D. He worked as a research assistant for 3 semesters at ITU. Between 1991-1997, he worked as a Software/Design Engineer in R&D department of Nortel Netas. Then, he carried on his career as an R&D manager in Nortel Netas for 5 years. Then he started to work in transmission planning department of Turkcell. From 2010 to 2017, Ceylan conducted management mission at the Leased Lines Management Department of AVEA. Also, he gave Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) training at Turkcell Academy. Ceylan is specialized in B-ISDN and ATM technologies, Real-Time Embedded System Design, Digital Power Plant Systems, Register and Line Signaling, ATM and ISDN protocol, SDH and Remote Control Systems.

 

The IEEE 16th Multi-Conference on Signals Systems and Devices was held in Sutluce!

SSD’19, Sutluce, Istanbul, Turkey

The IEEE 16th Multi-Conference on Signals Systems and Devices ( SSD’19 ) was hosted by Istanbul Commerce University and Tapir Lab. at Sütlüce, Istanbul, Turkey from 21st to 24th of March, 2019. During the conference 4 plenary sessions, 4 keynote lectures and 28 oral sessions was held.

SSD’19 multi-conference is organized to include 4 conferences covering different fundamental and applied aspects:

  1. “Int. Conf. on Systems, Automation & Control” (SAC)
  2. “Int. Conf. on Conference on Power Systems & Smart Energies” (PSE)
  3. “Int. Conf. on Communication, Signal Processing & Information Technology” (CSP)
  4. “Int. Conf. on Sensors, Circuits and Instrumentation Systems” (SCI)

SSD’19 secretariat has received 249 submissions from 28 countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, P.R. China, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, USA. Each paper has been reviewed by at least two reviewers of the program committee which consisted of more than 100 scientists from more than 30 countries. Only 144 papers have been accepted.

SSD’19 was the largest conferece hosted by Istanbul Commerce University and organized by Tapir Lab. Specialists from different countries gathered together to discuss and present novalities in the field of signals, systems and devices. Also, SSD’19 provided the possibility of meeting with engineers and scientist to the students of Istanbul Commerce University.

Tapir Lab. took active part in various ways in SSD’19 including transportation, accommodation, organization handling, logistics, and gala dinner. SSD’19 has been a great success for Tapir Lab. as well!

Project Manager of Turkish Technic will deliver a talk at EE

Abdullah Karadağ, who is currently Project Manager at Turkish Technic, will give a talk and share his valuable experiences in the field with Istanbul Commerce University audience on March 14th, 2019, Thursday, between 1pm-3pm at C-205, Kucukyali campus, focusing majorly on senior students enrolled Vocational Seminars course.

Abdullah Karadağ was born in 1981 in Elazığ. He graduated from ITU Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2002. In 2009, he completed his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the same university. He is currently a Ph.D. at the Department of Transportation Engineering at ITU. Between 2003-2018, he held various positions in Isbak A.Ş., and he worked as the R&D Coordinator in this company. He is currently working as the Project Manager at the Turkish Technic. He specializes in Software Development, Intelligent Transport Systems, Smart City, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence. Moreover, he who started as a board member is provincial head at Istanbul Provincial Directorate of TEKDER. Hes is married and has 3 children. He speaks English and Arabic.

Project Manager of Turkcell delivers a talk at EE

Islam Alaybeyoğlu, who is currently Project Manager at Turkcell, will give a talk and share his valuable experiences in the field with Istanbul Commerce University audience on March 7th, 2019, Thursday, between 1pm-3pm at C-205, Kucukyali campus, focusing majorly on senior students enrolled Vocational Seminars course.

He graduated from the Kuleli Military High School in 2010. He received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from TOBB University of Economics and Technology in 2016. He started his career in 2016 as a Project manager at Turkcell which serves in the field of communication. Alaybeyoğlu still working at Turkcell.

Based on his focus on excellence, initiative, contribution to community, team & cultural fit and impact, he managed to win the Innovation and Leadership Bootcamp of MIT in Istanbul, Turkey. Afterwards, to solve the world’s greatest challenges, he was invited to the Boston Campus of MIT for the Internet of Things Bootcamp, at which he developed an early warning system to detect the flash of floods to prevent damages and casualties.

He also attended to training of telecom network evolution trend, hot topics, 5G technologies and applications to improve mobile subscriber experience at Huawei Academy in Shenzhen, China.

Alaybeyoğlu is certified in Motivation Management, Effective Communication in Business and Information Technologies Infrastructure Library (ITIL) in IT Service Management.

Graduate of EE delivers a talk at EE

Ahmet Ileri, who is currently Field Management Specialist at Turk Telekom, will give a talk and share his valuable experiences in the field with Istanbul Commerce University audience on February 21th, 2019, Thursday, between 1pm-3pm at C-205, Kucukyali campus, focusing majorly on senior students enrolled Vocational Seminars course.

Ahmet Ileri was born in 1980 in Üsküdar. He is living in İstanbul. He graduated from the Electrical Department of Tuzla Industrial Vocational High School in 1998. He started his career in 2000 as a technician at Mobinet which serves in the field of communication. Until 2008, he took part in this company as a project surveyor, maintenance service consultant of help-desk and project manager at Avea Indoor Coverage Project. He continued his career as a team leader between 2008 and 2010 at Secetel Telecommunication company. After that, in 2011, he started to work as a site supervisor at Ericsson. He has gained considerable experience with Avea Rollout Project at Ericsson which has 40% of the telecommunication sector in the global area. As he climbed the steps in business life, he realized the importance of the diploma even it was too late. Then, moved towards this path without hesitation and while continuing to work in 2012, he graduated from Control and Automation Technologies Department of Gazi University and completed his associate degree. As soon as he realized that the associate degree was not enough to achieve his career goals, he left Ericsson with a radical decision in order to complete the missing part with a 50% scholarship at Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Istanbul Commerce University. After graduating from this department in 2 years, he returned to business life as an engineer. Currently, he is working as a Field Management Specialist in the project named as “Evrensel” at Turk Telekom.
