Project topics to be supervised by Amer Alshava:
- [AA] IR sensors (infrared LEDs) to make an object-detection circuit
- There are various applications of IR sensors such as TV remote controllers, burglar alarms and object counters. Here we have used IR sensors (infrared LEDs) to make an object-detection circuit and a proximity sensor for path-tracking robots. The basic idea is to transmit the infrared light through an IR LED, which is then reflected by any obstacle ahead and sensed by the receiving LED.
- [AA] Faulty Car Indicator Alarm
- Before taking a turn, either left or right, car drivers need to switch on the car turn indicator lamps so that the approaching vehicle drivers can take precaution accordingly. An accident is likely to occur in case your car turn indicator lamps fail to glow due to some reason or the other.
- [AA] Play with Robotic Eye (IR Sensor)
- There are various applications of IR sensors such as TV remote controllers, burglar alarms and object counters. Here we have used IR sensors (infrared LEDs) to make an object-detection circuit and a proximity sensor for path-tracking robots. The basic idea is to transmit the infrared light through an IR LED, which is then reflected by any obstacle ahead and sensed by the receiving LED.
- [AA] Sound Operated Light
- While living in rent or in hostel the problem like stealing is often in absent time. Here is the circuit of simple and inexpensive sound – operated light to overcome this type of problem which can turn on the light when someone claps, or tries to open your door or even inserts a key in the door lock. The switching of light is alternately i.e. light on by one sound pulse and off by another. It is also called clap operated light or clap switch.
- [AA] Solar Tracking System
- Generally, solar panels are stationary and do not follow the movement of the sun. Here is a solar tracker system that tracks the sun’s movement across the sky and tries to maintain the solar panel perpendicular to the sun’s rays, ensuring that the maximum amount of sunlight is incident on the panel throughout the day. The solar tracker starts following the sun right from dawn, throughout the day till evening, and starts all over again from the dawn next day.
- [AA] Solar Battery Charger Circuit
- Here is the simple circuit to charge 6V, 4.5Ah rechargeable Lead-acid battery from the solar panel. This solar charger has current and voltage regulation and also has over voltage cut off facilities. This circuit may also be used to charge any battery at constant voltage because output voltage is adjustable.
- [AA] Underwater Optical Wireless Communication Project
- Transferring of information wirelessly underwater plays an essential role in different applications like monitoring of pollution, oil control, tactical surveillance, monitoring the change of climate & research in oceanography. This can be achieved by arranging different devices underwater which has high capacity & bandwidth to transfer the information underwater. This project mainly focuses on understanding the possibility of high data rate optical links undersea because of a variety of propagation occurrences. This occurrence will impact on the system performance.
Project topics to be supervised by Vedat Tavas:
- [VT] Project 1
- Design and fabricate your own arduino–mega board with a small difference of adding a memory chip to it at least 256KB. The student must show how to upload the arduino operating system in to it. Also a small application must be shown on board under the test to prove the board is working.
- [VT] Project 2
- Design and fabricate your own arduino–nano board with a small difference of adding wifi and bluetooth module on it. The student must show how to upload the arduino operating system in to it. Also a small application must be shown on board under the test to prove the board is working.
- [VT] Project 3
- Design an electromechanical system, that goes staight by using PID controller. Also the system has its own precautions not to hit any obstacle. If an obstacle determined the system must return 180 degress from a convenient side (right or left) otherwise it must stop.
