A delegation of Michigan State University, one of our global partners in the world met the academic staff of Istanbul Commerce University within the scope of the academic agreement signed on November 5, 2013. The delegation headed by Vice Rector of Michigan State University, Satish Udpa was received by the deputy chairman of Istanbul Commerce University Board of Trustees, Hasan Erkesim, our vice rectors Prof. Dr. Can Bilgili and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Baz and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Design, Prof. Dr. Muammer Kalyon, and Director of the Exchange Programs, Asst. Prof. Rana Atabay in Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. The deputy chairman of Istanbul Commerce University Board of Trustees, Hasan Erkesim made a brief speech about the chamber by stating that Istanbul Chamber of Commerce is one of the biggest chambers in the world. Referring to Istanbul Chamber of Commerce as a social responsibility project of the chamber, Mr. Erkesim also presented works of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce in the field of education. Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Can Bilgili presented Global Experience Campus model of as the new project of our university to the delegation. The planned academic works within the scope of Teknopark Istanbul Project was also presented to the delegation by Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Baz and Prof. Dr. Muammer Kalyon. Vice Rector of Michigan State University, Satish Udpa made a brief presentation speech and stated that Michigan State University is one of the best research universities in the world. He also added that Michigan State University is a big community of its students and academics, athletes and artisans, scientists and leaders. The delegations of both of the institutions agreed upon performance of joint research programs, organization of conferences, and realization of exchange programs to offer high standard education to their students.
