Getting to Istanbul
Turkey demands an official entry visa from the citizens of some countries. Before your departure to Turkey it is better to check with a Turkish consulate in your country to determine if you need a visa. In some cases, you can obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport for a small fee. The most updated visa information can be received from the website of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Istanbul is accessible by air, sea, rail and road. Among these, air transport is perhaps the most significant in view of overall congress requirements, but other modes of transport may be more convenient for countries in the region.
Reaching the Workshop Venue by taxi from Atatürk Airport.
We recommend that you choose flight to/from Atatürk International Airport. However, if you really prefer, Sabiha Gökçen Airport is a good alternative. Please let us know if you need any extra help finding transportation from the airport to the hotel. most hotels have pickup services for their guests, so we recommend negotiating with your hotel when you are finalizing the hotel bookings.
Our university has a special agreement with a travel agency and if you choose, you can contact Bekir Kurt for hotel reservations. We informed the travel agency about the workshop and when you are e-mailing them, make sure to let them know you will be attending LightSec workshop at our Eminönü campus.
