Dr. Sadık Ünay is the Coordinator of Economic Research at SETA-Istanbul, a private think tank in Turkey and adjunct faculty at Istanbul Şehir University. He serves as Senior Advisor at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (IRCICA). He has been a lecturer at the Manchester, Huddersfield and Birmingham universities in the UK and Maltepe, Fatih and Yıldız Technical Universities in Turkey. Between 2006 and 2009 he acted as Senior Advisor for the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). He is the author of Neoliberal Globalization and Institutional Reform: Political Economy of Turkish Development Planning (Nova Science; 2006). He received his B.A. (Hons) in Political Science from Boğaziçi University in 1997 and both his M.A. (Econ) (1999) and Ph.D. (2005) in International Political Economy from the University of Manchester in the UK.
